Project Name: Development of Roads on BOT basis in Punjab

Mandated Date: 28th July 2008

Brief Description: The Government of Punjab (GoP) is in the process of augmenting the road infrastructure in the State of Punjab. As part of this programme, various roads including state highways have been identified for construction, upgradation, strengthening, operation and maintenance to cater to future traffic growth. The Project Roads form key corridors in the State of Punjab and are the main links between the growth centres. GoP is seeking to involve the private sector in construction, upgradation, strengthening, operation and maintenance of roads on BOT basis to increase the operational efficiency and to provide higher service levels to the users of the Project Roads

Up-gradation & Development of Package-II roads (five numbers) covers development of five roads, as listed below, having a total length of about 232 KM of State Highways standards (10 Meter wide hard portion).

Tanda –Mehta-Amritsar

It has been envisaged to get the financial support for implementation of these project roads under Viability Gap Funding (VGF) Scheme of Govt. of India so all DPR and project has been structured as per the requirement of VGF Scheme of Government of India. This includes undertaking required technical, financial, commercial, legal, regulatory, risks assessments and studies and advisory functions, procurement process management and development, bid evaluation and related advice covering legal aspects, financial modeling and commercial advice for development of suitable PPP project format

Project Cost: Rs. 521 Cr.
